I’m no stranger to live TV, having worked on TEN’s Breakfast as digital producer and a stint presenting on New Zealand Music TV for four years, but no matter how many times I’ve been in front or around a camera, those pesky butterflies still start doing backflips in my tummy as the countdown to live begins.
What if the animal ears fell apart? What if had a total brain fart and forgot what to say? What if the snow globes leaked water all over Natasha’s pretty dress? What if one of the kids choked on a crayon?!
Thankfully none of that happened. The children were perfectly behaved little angels, Natasha and James were fantastic hosts and asked great questions and the animal ears and snow globes were a total success. Horray!
If you missed it, below is the segment that aired last monday the importance of balancing kids time with technology with creative play! Hope you enjoy!
A huge thanks to the Wake Up team for having me, Spotlight for all the materials, and Bowerbird Vintage for the gorgeous frock!
OH and to my fantastic little helpers on set, and Maris and Phionna for helping me to make all the crafts the day before – and Yule for donating his Lego! What a little legend 🙂
