DIY Easter Wreath

Make sure the Easter bunny knows where to drop off eggs this Easter with this adorable wreath! The great thing about this wreath is that you can remove the decorations and repurpose it for Halloween and Christmas too.

What you need:

A rattan or willow wreath

Spagnum moss (available from hardware and garden centres)

Green moss

Flowers

Mini eggs

An MDF bunny

Skewers

Hot glue gun

  1. First, take small bunches of sphagnum moss and using a skewer, stuff it into the gaps in your rattan wreath.
  2. Keep stuffing the sphagnum moss firmly into the gaps until you’ve covered the whole wreath.

3. Once the whole wreath is covered, you can start attaching even more moss for a full look with a hot glue gun.

4. Now it’s time to decorate!! I used small eggs I made out of air dry clay and toothpicks, but you could also use polystyrene eggs or even chocolate ones if you wish! I also used a hot glue gun to secure some dry green moss, and white and yellow flowers.

5. Now take your MDF bunny (I painted mine white) and then use your hot glue gun to secure a skewer on the back. Insert this into the wreath so it feels secure. Finish with a bow, and you’re done!

Hint: Because we’ve used sphagnum moss, this allows you to use real flowers, just give them a regular mist with water, and they’ll stay alive for a few days.
